The overall goal of our research is to elucidate the precise mechanism by which cells undergo apoptosis and how this process is regulated by diverse signaling pathways. We are using a multidisciplinary approach that integrates Drosophila genetics and molecular biology with mammalian cell culture experiments and biochemical and structural studies.
Working closely with laboratory members, the Laboratory Administrator will manage reporting and monitoring of laboratory resources and personnel. Will work closely with lab members to provide effective solutions and handle office tasks such as filing, generating reports and ordering supplies. Responsibilities include facilitating effective communication across internal departments, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, budgets and schedules. The Laboratory Administrator will organize and maintain common lab stocks, set up service calls for damaged equipment, supervise and enforce assigned lab duties and provide general lab assistance.
Bachelor's degree in science required. Must have a minimum of three years of management or supervisory experience. Must have effective data trending, document control and technical bench skills. Strong problem solving, training, team building and mentoring skills a must. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written required.
