Organization Overview
We pursue a combination of biochemical, molecular, and genetic approaches to define the checkpoints that regulate B cell development, antibody production, and B cell tolerance. A second area of interest is in dendritic cells. Our interests range from the earliest phases of the B cell pathway, including the commitment to becoming a B cell through the completion of maturation. Our ongoing work includes a focus on mechanisms of V(D)J recombination, somatic mutation, isotype switching, allelic exclusion, and tolerance.
Overview
The Research Assistant will be working with human blood samples and PBMC processing, collection and storage.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Cell culture maintenance and expansion
Antibodies/proteins transfection
Antibodies/proteins collection
Antibodies/proteins purification
Antibodies/proteins analysis
Antibodies/proteins recording and notebook maintenance
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Previous lab experience
Hard worker with good organizational skills
Detail-oriented
Knowledge of basic lab and sterile techniques
Team player who can also work independently and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and precision
Experience in a molecular biology lab is a plus.
