Organization Overview
The new institute builds on Rockefeller’s long legacy of infectious-disease research in supporting intensive research on pathogens, including proven troublemakers as well as likely new suspects. Among other initiatives, it will support several studies launched in 2020 aimed at better understanding the biology of SARS-CoV-2 and developing interventions to prevent and treat infections, including work by Rockefeller scientists Michel Nussenzweig, Paul Bieniasz, Theodora Hatziioannou, and Charles Rice. Together with Pamela Björkman at the California Institute of Technology, this group characterized the immune response to natural infection and to vaccines and boosters, tracking the evolution of both the virus and our antibodies.
Overview
The Training and Learning Coordinator for the SNF Institute at Rockefeller University will participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of training programs for use throughout the hospital and CCTS. They will lead the development of training materials, reference guides, job aids, along with pilot, test and document new professional services offerings.
Responsibilities
The Training and Learning Coordinator Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Work with managers and directors to develop curricula for trainings related to Hospital and CCTS policies, use of Cerner electronic medical record, use of iRIS protocol-writing, IRB and study management system, Good Clinical Practices, human subject protections, community engagement, informed consent, and other content as identified
Configure on-line and in-person delivery of trainings; conduct training sessions through blended approaches such as instructor-led classroom training, Q&A sessions, side-by-side support, webinars and e-learning; analyze and collaborate with staff and leadership to identify and correct problem areas that result in recurring errors. Determine individualized and group training plans that address specific business needs. Incorporate training techniques that keep learners engaged
Manage the delivery of trainings by the training coordinator and other content experts. Integrate tracking of activities with existing tracking systems
Partner with managers, directors and trainers to ensure training programs and procedures are followed consistently
Conduct quality assurance (QA) regarding training content, delivery, and effectiveness. Collect training session feedback to improve future training; makes recommendations for improvement to management (quality improvement, QI)
Organize and conduct orientation programs for New Hires
Deliver train-the-trainer programs to support and enable end-user customer training rollout, including coaching and shadowing support
Assists in all aspects of the logistics surrounding training. Ensure rooms and materials are available and in order for training sessions, web links are functional
Develop and deliver reports/presentations to Senior leadership and stakeholders including metrics of impact, current state ,and trends
Operate under general guidance; work assignments will be varied and require interpretation and independent decision-making. In collaboration with the project team, proactively anticipate, identify, and communicate issues, risks, escalations, timelines and delays to ensure an exceptional customer experience and successful implementation

Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements to training processes and the development of training program curriculum
Establish and maintain strong successful customer relationships by utilizing excellent communication and collaboration skills
Develop and maintain expertise and knowledge in multiple product offerings, including the knowledge of the end-to-end solution and product value outcomes
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree required, and/or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
1-3 years of relevant experience.
Prior Electronic Health Record (EHR) training experience required Cerner is highly desirable.
Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with strong interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of adult learning concepts/theories, training development techniques, and best practices.
Strong software & technology aptitude and literacy.
Experience working on a multi resource project team balancing milestones and objectives efficiently and on time.
Experience conducting training sessions both in-person and remotely.
Ability to thrive in a high paced, complex team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products and other teleconferencing solutions (i.e. Zoom, WebEx, etc.)
PREFERRED:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly as it relates to explaining both simple and complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
